The short story: This is a glowing endorsement of this company. If you are looking for waterproofing/basement expertise, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT HESITATE to call. The long story: We bought a new home and found we had a leak in the basement. We first hired a reputable plumber to check it out, thinking it was a problem with our sump pump because the leak was near there. However, the plumber said it wasn’t a plumbing problem and instead thought it was a waterproofing problem. So I went on Angie’s list and found dozens of outstanding reviews for this company and went for the $55 consultation. Boy, was that the right move! I should have known with the reference packet he sent us before his visit and the awards he’s received on Angie’s list. Mike (the owner) responded promptly, came out and was professional, courteous, and had a great manner. He was very collaborative in his approach and walked us through his evaluation every step of the way. He took his time and had a few hypotheses of the problem, but ultimately, one of his suggestions was correct: it was a small leak in the main sewage line going into the wall near the sump pump- it was his observation of the drain flies that made him think this. It was real detective work! I should mention the process actually took 2 visits, with in-between suggestions on discovering the problem. Initially, we all thought it was a drainage issue, and we talked numbers for replacement (his quotes seemed reasonable). However on the second visit, he cracked the case by his suggestion, as he was insistent on checking the root of the problem (which turned out to be plumbing problem, misdiagnosed by first plumber). I have never met a contractor that was as transparent, honest, and dependable as he is. It was truly awesome. I will recommend him to all my friends and family and feel wonderful about having consulted him. A real gem in the back pocket!

Enviro Pro started by addressing the problem areas of the basement. First they jack hammered the floor against the exterior walls down to the footings. Then after all the broken concrete was cleaned out they drilled weep holes through the exterior walls to direct the water into the new system. Once the trench was cleaned again they installed some small pebbles on the base of their trench before adding the water proofing system. Once all the channel pieces were set, the small pebbles were used to take up the rest of the room. Once that was complete a sump was dug out, installed with emergency alarm and finally all the flooring was gone over with new concrete so that by the time they were done it was like they were never there at all. Absolutely awesome job. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Mike Troyner was a breath of fresh air after the four other shady characters we had over to give us a quote on our basement (and one of them was another Basement Systems dealer). Mike accommodated our difficult schedule and didn’t give us a huge price, just to cut it in half like the other guys did when we didn’t sign then and there, and he didn’t knock any other company to the sale. Everyone else had something bad to say about other companies. WE got a fair price and the work was done exactly the way it was explained. Their crew was great — hard working, nice young men. They were courteous and respectful of our belongings, and they kept us up-to-date on their progress over two day. The cleanup was much better than I expected. Overall, this was a good experience thanks to Mike Troyner and his great bunch of guys. Enviro Pro runs a tight ship and we would recommend them to anyone.
