Mike arrived promptly, and was polite, friendly, and extremely easy to talk with about any concerns, questions about my basement; he also answered many other questions about other areas of my home which I requested information about. He was very patient, and spent a great deal of time conducting the inspection, and making certain that I understood the information he conveyed to me; in fact, he went above and beyond what most inspectors provide in the way of expertise, and “time spent” on the job. Fortunately, for me, Mike found no major problem areas, or areas of future major concern; his only recommendation was to have a dehumidifier installed in order to remove water from the air which will greatly reduce chances of mold, allergens, and musty odors and air that will not only affect the basement, but also the upstairs living space which would be drier and healthier with a dehumidifier. Plus, dry air is less costly and easier to heat and cool which is another benefit for any homeowner. I certainly received an education in this area from Mike who is so knowledgeable in his technical field, yet has the gift of explaining all in a clear, simplistic manner. I also appreciated the fact that he did not attempt to “hard sell” me; instead, he left the final decision up to me….completely no pressure. It was a pleasure to have Mike conduct the inspection, and discuss his evaluation with me. I heartily recommend Mike and his company to others who desire an honest, thorough, and excellent inspection of their basement or crawlspace.

Any concerns I had, they answered to my satisfaction (how much weight will the new cement covering hold and how soon can I start putting weight on said covering). They were concerned with my fuel oil line running along the base of my floor. Should the line leak,it would drain right to the sump and the clean up would be very expensive. I installed a anti-surge valve on the fuel tank to correct the problem. The work was done in a very timely manner and they cleaned the area up very well.

Enviro Pro started by addressing the problem areas of the basement. First they jack hammered the floor against the exterior walls down to the footings. Then after all the broken concrete was cleaned out they drilled weep holes through the exterior walls to direct the water into the new system. Once the trench was cleaned again they installed some small pebbles on the base of their trench before adding the water proofing system. Once all the channel pieces were set, the small pebbles were used to take up the rest of the room. Once that was complete a sump was dug out, installed with emergency alarm and finally all the flooring was gone over with new concrete so that by the time they were done it was like they were never there at all. Absolutely awesome job. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Mike accommodated our difficult schedule and didn’t give us a huge price, just to cut it in half like the other guys did when we didn’t sign then and there, and he didn’t knock any other company to the sale. Everyone else had something bad to say about other companies. WE got a fair price and the work was done exactly the way it was explained. Their crew was great — hard working, nice young men. They were courteous and respectful of our belongings, and they kept us up-to-date on their progress over two day. The cleanup was much better than I expected. Overall, this was a good experience thanks to Mike Troyner and his great bunch of guys. Enviro Pro runs a tight ship and we would recommend them to anyone.
